WFAS-AM/Westchester Flips to CBS Sports Radio

Cumulus Media announces that WFAS-AM/Westchester, NY, launches as "Sports Radio 1230 AM," a 24/7 CBS Sports Radio outlet. Prior to the station's flip at midnight on Monday, February 1, WFAS was programmed as a News/Talk station. WFAS now provides Westchester County listeners with around-the-clock national sports coverage and sports commentary by broadcasters and athletes including Jim Rome, Boomer Esiason, Tiki Barber, Doug Gottlieb and Scott Ferrall, among others.
Cumulus Media and Westwood One Senior VP/Sports Bruce Gilbert said, "We're excited to give sports fans in Westchester County an additional outlet for sports opinions, observations and information. The all-star team on CBS Sports Radio will bring 'round the clock real-time sports coverage of the biggest events every moment of every day on Sports Radio 1230 AM."
