WGN Morning Host Steve Cochran Contract Extended
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, June 28, 2016 |
WGN-AM/Chicago announces a contract extension with veteran morning host Steve Cochran through December, 2020. He's hosted the morning program since 2013 and has previously hosted morning shows in Miami, Baltimore, St. Louis, Minneapolis and New York. The Cochran Morning Show team includes co-anchor and reporter Andrea Darlas, news by Steve Grzanich, sports by Dave Eanet and traffic by Mary Van De Velde.
"Steve makes it look easy with his affable brand of intelligence, but nobody works harder to gather and share the stories Chicagoans care about," said WGN Radio VP/Content and Programming Todd Manley. "He's got the raw talent and work ethic we need for many years to come."
"It's an honor to get up at 4am every day to work where Wally Phillips, Bob Collins and Spike O'Dell worked," added Cochran. "Then to work for Jimmy de Castro and Todd Manley and with Andrea, Dave, Mary and my crew makes me a very lucky guy."
