Greenville Hospital Dedicates Family Room to Entercom

Entercom Upstate, a collective of seven regional radio stations owned by Entercom Communications, is being honored by the Greenville (South Carolina) Health System (GHS) for its support and promotion of the Children's Hospital for the last ten years. The GHS Children's Hospital dedicated its fifth floor Family Room to Entercom Upstate to recognize how the stations have helped the hospital through the Children's Hospital Radiothon, an annual fundraising event that has raised over $2.6 million to date and supported thousands of children.

The GHS Children's Hospital formally unveiled the "Entercom Upstate Family Room" at a naming ceremony this morning. Among those who delivered remarks at the event were Dr. William F. Schmidt, Medical Director of GHS Children's Hospital, family members who have been impacted by Entercom Upstate's efforts and Steve Sinicropi, Entercom Upstate's Vice President and Market Manager.

"I know that for everyone at Entercom Upstate, the Radiothon is an incredibly gratifying experience, and we're all humbled by this gracious acknowledgment. We share this honor with our staff, listeners and advertisers who each year make Radiothon a phenomenal success," says Entercom Upstate's Vice President and Market Manager Steve Sinicropi.

"Entercom has been a committed partner and we appreciate their support," says Dr. William F. Schmidt III, Medical Director of GHS Children's Hospital. "Spending time in the 'Entercom Upstate Family Room' will be a wonderful reminder for our staff and families of this important partnership and the generosity of this community."

Every year Entercom Upstate partners with the GHS for Radiothon, the largest live fundraising event for Children's Hospital. All proceeds raised stay local and help nearly 400,000 children with cystic fibrosis, autism, diabetes, brain injuries, pediatric cancer and other ailments. The 9th Annual Radiothon will take place on August 4.
