Scott Shannon to Host NAB Marconi Radio Awards

This year's NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show will be hosted by veteran air personality Scott Shannon. The event will take place September 22 at the 2016 Radio Show, produced by the NAB and held at the Omni Nashville Hotel. Shannon currently serves as the morning host for WCBS-FM/New York. His career has spanned more than four decades, and he is credited for developing the popular "Morning Zoo" format for morning shows.
Prior to his current position, Shannon helped develop the legendary WHTZ-FM (Z100)/New York and co-hosted the morning show at WPLG-FM for 22 years. He is also the creator of the round-the-clock "True Oldies" channel, currently distributed by United Stations.
"Scott Shannon is an icon in Radio and one of the best dressed Radio personalities," said NAB Executive Vice President of Radio John David. "His unique style and engaging personality add prestige to this year's Marconi Radio Awards."
