Radio One Brings the Majic Back to South Atlanta
RADIO ONLINE | Friday, July 29, 2016 |
Radio One/Atlanta expands Urban WUMJ-FM (Majic 97.5) by adding a simulcast to 97.5 FM replacing the Urban AC format on WAMJ-FM known as "Atlanta's Best Mix of R&B." "The radio sets the tone of the day for so many people," said Majic 107.5/97.5 Program Director Derek Harper. "Our loyal listeners want a strong and clear sound on Majic and it's our pleasure to give it to them. Yes, we're back where we belong, on both 107.5 FM and 97.5 FM."
"We heard our listeners," said Radio One Atlanta VP/General Manager Tim Davies. "One signal wasn't strong enough to reach all of our audience. Our South Atlanta audience missed listening to The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Maria More and The Ride with SiMan and Chubb Rock in the afternoons. So we have brought the two back together, literally the Majic is back."
