CBS Radio Appoints Brian McHale Senior VP/IT

CBS Radio names Brian McHale as Senior VP/Information Technology, effective immediately. In this newly created role, McHale will be responsible for building and overseeing the company's first dedicated IT team, along with technological strategies and infrastructure to support the company's 117 stations across 26 markets, and digital assets. Most recently, McHale served as Senior VP/Chief Information Officer of American Apparel Inc. Prior to that, he was CTOof Journal Broadcast Group.
"In today's hyper digital world, the flow, security and enhancement of information technology is the backbone of any company," said CBS Radio President Andre Fernandez. "Brian has vast experience with developing and implementing world-class IT infrastructures and will lead CBS RADIO to create a superior system that supports every function of our business."
McHale added, "It's an exciting time to join CBS Radio as the Company forges a path for future innovation and growth. Information Technology is a business enabler, a support structure that partners with every division to drive optimum performance across all platforms. I'm honored to develop and lead this important function for CBS Radio. "
Earlier in his career, McHale held various senior level IT positions with Mobile500 Alliance, DIRECTV Sports Networks, Starz Entertainment, Discovery Communications and Verizon Communications.
