WIBW's Kelly Lenz Inducted into Kansas Hall of Fame

Alpha Media, Topeka is proud to announce WIBW's Kelly Lenz was recently inducted into the Kansas Association of Broadcaster's Hall of Fame. Lenz has been a leader and innovator in the farm broadcast industry for the past 38 years.
In 1978, he was hired as Assistant Farm Director for WIBW, and a year later became Farm Director. In 1983, he started the "Ag Issues" program on WIBW, one of the first agricultural talk shows in the nation. Lenz also began an annual agricultural conference for farmers and ranchers. The conference is now held in four different locations and has more than 725 producers in attendance.
In the past, Lenz has also been honored with the Kansas Farm Bureau Distinguished Service to Agriculture Award and the Honorary State and National Farmer Degrees from FFA.
"I am humbled and honored to receive this special recognition," said Lenz. "Our mission as broadcasters is to serve our communities and our listeners, both rural and urban. It's pleasing to know that in some small way I've helped accomplish that in the state of Kansas."
