Hubbard Names Falter GM in Two Minnesota Markets
RADIO ONLINE | Friday, December 16, 2016 |
Hubbard Broadcasting appoints Derek Falter as General Manager for the company's stations in Alexandria and Wadena, MN. Falter will oversee Country KIKV-FM and Oldies KULO-FM in Alexandria and Country KKWS-FM, Country KWAD-AM and KNSP-AM in Wadena. In 2015 Hubbard acquired 16 stations in northern Minnesota from Omni Broadcasting. Falter will replace retiring General Manger Dave Vagle, who managed the Alexandria market for 27 years.
Falter will begin with Hubbard on January 17. He comes to Hubbard from Townsquare Media in Duluth, MN, where he has served as GM and Director of Sales for the past five years. Falter has been in Duluth since 2007 and also served as a Senior Account Manager for Red Rock Radio.
"I can't tell you how excited we are to bring Derek into Hubbard Broadcasting," said VP/Regional Manager of Minnesota Dan Seeman. "Derek's success in Duluth speaks for itself and he will bring experience, passion and creativity to the Alexandria and Wadena markets. He has big shoes to fill. Dave Vagle has been an outstanding leader in the market for 27 years."
"I'm extremely honored by this unique opportunity to join Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. and help them to continue to evolve and grow," commented Falter. "They are dedicated to helping local and regional businesses with their needs today, tomorrow and in the future and that truly resonates with me. HBI is a proven leader in the industry and I think with my natural skill set and experience I'll be able to help make an impact immediately."
