WUHT/Birmingham to Air ''A Day Without a Woman''
RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, March 8, 2017 |
WUHT-FM (Hot 107.7)/Birmingham will share the sound of "A Day Without a Woman" for International Women's Day on Wednesday, March 8. The station's March 8 programming will reflect the absence of women for the day. Midday host Tasha Simone, and station voice Jeannie Johnson, will be off the air for the day and all songs played in non-syndication hours will feature men only.
Operations Manager and Cumulus VP/Urban Ken Johnson said, "This was an easy decision for us. Women are our core listeners and these women contribute a great deal to our sound. Honoring women by highlighting to the community how important they are is a no-brainer. Plus, hearing more Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass and Luther Vandross is not a bad thing."
