RADIO ONLINE | Thursday, April 20, 2017 |
Radio One has announced the addition of Sports WWXT-FM (Triple X ESPN Radio) at 92.7 FM to its Washington, DC, cluster from Red Zebra Broadcasting. Effective May 1, 92.7 will begin simulcasting WMMJ-FM (Majic 102.3 FM), further expanding the DMV brand of the heritage Urban AC station. Listeners of the DMV will continue to hear their favorite personalities on both 102.3 and 92.7 as the programming line-up will not change.
Radio One DC Senior Regional VP/General Manager Jeff Wilson said, "I'm thrilled by this acquisition and unique opportunity to immediately expand the footprint of our heritage station, WMMJ-FM. My team is going to keep doing what we do best, programming the most entertaining, inspiring and well informed listener experiences in urban radio and be proud knowing that even more people are impacted."
