RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, May 17, 2017 |
Nielsen Audio inks a renewal agreement with Midwest Television's News/Talk KFMB-AM and Rock KFMB-FM in San Diego to continue local access to local currency ratings data. Midwest retained all services, including Portable People Meter (PPM) data and analysis tools, as well as services that provide deep in-market qualitative data. Additionally, Nielsen has renewed services for Midwest's television outlets including CBS affiliate KFMB-TV, and the company's CW Network affiliate on its digital subchannel in June.
"Nielsen offers solutions that are tailored to San Diego's unique demographics and market dynamics, which help us optimize our assets to achieve the greatest return," said Midwest Television GM Alberto Mier y Teran. "Nielsen's comprehensive portfolio of local solutions helps us position our story in the market and capture our share of local ad dollars. We are pleased to extend our agreement with Nielsen."
"For many years we've worked with Midwest Television and KFMB-TV to help them achieve their business priorities and uncover the total value of their audience," said Nielsen Local Media Managing Director Jeff Wender. "We are excited to continue our strong relationship and look forward to providing their new CW affiliate the same level of high quality service and products. The renewal and extension of Nielsen services demonstrates the belief Midwest Television has in the enhancement we are making to local TV and how our data and services impact its business' bottom line."
