Asleep At The Wheel to Perform at Marconi Awards

Grammy Award-winning Country group Asleep at the Wheel will perform at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner and Show on Thursday, September 7. The event is part of the 2017 Radio Show, held September 5-8 at the JW Marriott Austin and produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB). The band is best known for songs like "Route 66," "Boogie Back to Texas," "Take Me Back to Tulsa" and "The Letter That Johnny Walker Read." Syndicated radio personality Rickey Smiley will serve as the event's emcee.
"Asleep at the Wheel is one of the most important sounds in country music," said NAB Executive Vice President of Radio John David. "We're honored to present a true taste of Austin in the 'Live Music Capital of the World' at the Marconi Radio Awards Dinner and Show."
