Cumulus Appoints McKay as PD of Wilmington Duo

Cumulus Media appoints Steve McKay as Program Director for AC WGNI-FM (102.7 GNI) and Classic Rock WKXS-FM (94.5 The Hawk) in Wilmington, NC. McKay, a 20-year industry vet, previously served as PD/midday host at Modern AC WPTE-FM (The Point)/Norfolk. Prior to that, he programmed WEJM-FM in Philadelphia and WBHT-FM in Wilkes Barre. Most recently, he was on-air at the Jersey Shore's heritage station WJRZ. McKay was also formerly an account executive for Max Media in Norfolk.

VP/Market Manager Eric McCart said, "We searched for a leader who will take 102.7 GNI and 94.5 The Hawk to the next level, and most importantly, someone who will keep the music sounding the best, while creating a great listener experience and a deeper connection with our listeners, advertisers and community.
