Boston's Country 102.5 To Be Renamed Kenny 102.5
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, October 17, 2017 |
Beasley Broadcast Group plans to rename Boston's Country 102.5 to "Kenny 102.5" in honor of Country Recording Superstar Kenny Chesney visiting the studios on Friday, October 27th. The multi-platinum artist will be on air with Midday Personality Carolyn Kruse and have lunch with 50 lucky contest winners to discuss his new live album.
Boston is the only market Chesney will be visiting in person to promote his latest release of his new album, entitled "Live in No Shoes Nation" which will be released the day of Country 102.5's special event. Country 102.5 was an early supporter of Chesney and has been with him throughout his musical career. He has been a longtime friend to the station and its dedicated listeners.
"There are only a handful of artists so big that we would rename the station for," said Country 102.5 Program Director David Corey." Kenny is at the top of the list. We are so excited that he has chosen Boston, and our studios to hang with listeners and chat about his new live album. Boston loves Kenny!"
