RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, October 18, 2017 |
CBS Sports Radio commentator Jim Rome's "The Jim Rome Show" will be simulcast for three hours a day on CBS Sports Network beginning January. Rome has hosted his radio program since the network's launch in January, 2013, airing live weekdays from noon-3pm. Rome, who will build a new studio to reflect the new visual elements of his program, will add to the TV networks original hours of programming.
"Jim is an engaging and dynamic host with an incredibly loyal and passionate fan base," said CBS Sports Executive VP/Programming Dan Weinberg. "We are excited to provide one of sports talk radio's most enduring programs a new national platform on television."
Rome joined CBS in 2012, and continues to contribute to CBS' Sunday-afternoon program "The NFL Today." Prior to the launch of "The Jim Rome Show," Rome hosted the weekday half-hour "Rome" television show on CBS Sports Network and an entertainment and sports talk series for Showtime.
