Forbes: Nobody Makes More Money Than Howard Stern
RADIO ONLINE | Friday, December 7, 2018 |
Forbes has once again come out with their annual list of highest paid radio hosts and for 2018, the "King of All Media" once again reigns supreme.
Howard Stern, on the third year of his eight-figure contract with SiriusXM, earned an estimated $90 million in Forbes' 12-month scoring period, before taxes and fees and tops the list. Stern narrowly beats Rush Limbaugh who brought in $84.5 million. Both Stern and Limbaugh recently made moves into the digital space with Stern now on SiriusXM's new video service featuring highlights from his 30-year-plus video library. Meanwhile Limbaugh released his first mobile app, which gave a subscription boost to his digital platform, Rush 24/7.
Rounding out the rest of the top five are iHeartMedia host Ryan Seacrest with $74 million - a giant upswing from last year's $58 million, due mostly to the return of American Idol; Fox News' Sean Hannity with $36 million and Glenn Beck with $8.5 million, a drop from his $10 million earnings last year.
