RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, September 23, 2020 |
Sad to report the death of veteran radio programmer Jim Raimo of cancer earlier this month on September 17. He was 51. Raimo spent over 25 years with Entercom in Springfield, MA, most recently at Brand Manager for both AC WMAS-FM and Country WHLL-AM (NASH Icon). He was a very "hands on" Program Director and would fill in wherever and whenever needed, even being an air personality on Sundays. Raimo loved his job and his work family will also truly miss him.
Earlier in his life, he was a Volunteer Fire Fighter with the Poquonock Volunteer Fire Department. A part of Raimo's legacy of community service includes helping to raise millions of dollars for various charities over the years. In that spirit, a Go Fund Me account for his wife and soulmate Jenn, and daughters Lucy and Nora, along with numerous other family and friends.
