WKLH Raises Over $300,000 in Kids In One-Day Radiothon

Saga Communications Classic Rock WKLH-FM/Milwaukee and its generous listeners, raised $300,418 to benefit Children's Wisconsin in a one day, 12-hour radiothon hosted by the Dave, Dorene & Gino morning show. The first annual "WKLH Giving Tuesday-A Holiday of Miracles" host Dave Luczak commented, "Our listeners really stepped up and together we were able to make our first Giving Tuesday: A Holiday of Miracles a great success."

Dorene Michaels added, "The money that was raised will ensure that the kids at Children's Wisconsin will continue to receive the best care."

For the last 23 years, WKLH has hosted the "Miracle Marathon for Childrens' Wisconsin" in May, which has raised over $26 million collectively. In a year of necessary pivots, the team at WKLH and Childrens created a new event to air during Giving Tuesday. The two-day Miracle Marathon is set to return in May 2021, as will the Holiday of Miracles in December, 2021.
