High Plains Radio Acquires Five From Tejas Broadcasting

High Plains Radio Network has agreed to acquire five radio outlets and one FM translator from Tejas Broadcasting LLP for $285,000. Included in the deal are 51kW KICA-FM (98.3) and 25kW KKYC-FM (102.3)/Clovis NM, 50kW KKNM-FM (96.5)/Bovine TX, 48kW KGRW-FM (94.7)/Friona TX and 0.88kW KZIP-AM (1310) & K224EF (FM translator)/Amarillo, TX.
High Plains Radio Network is headed by Monte Spearman and has broadcast interests in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi. Tejas Broadcasting is headed by James Anderson and has broadcast interests in Corpus Christi, TX.
Bill Whitley of the Dallas office of Media Services Group served as the broker for this transaction.
