VCY America Closes on KCCF Phoenix, Potomac on DC/VA Duo

VCY America has closed on its previously announced acquisition of non-commercial 22.5kW KCCF-FM (88.3)/Phoenix from Cesar Chavez Foundation. CCF is a California-based company headed by Paul Chavez. VCY America, is a Wisconsin-based company headed by Jim Schneider. VCY currently owns 25 full power radio outlets, along with 15 translators and a full power television station in Milwaukee.
Potomac Radio Group Inc. has also closed on its acquisition of 50kW Asian WCRW-AM (1190)/Leesburg, VA and 50kW International WUST-AM (1120)/Washington, DC, from Potomac Radio, LLC and New World Radio Inc., respectively. Both outlets serve Washington DC and Baltimore areas. The sellers are headed by Trustees Alan Pendleton and Dick Aronoff. Both Potomac and New World have no other broadcast interests. Potomac Radio Group Inc. is a Virginia-based corporation and owns no other radio stations.
