Nielsen Delists WFFY-FM/Fort Myers From June Results
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, August 4, 2020 |
Nielsen has re-issued the June 2020 (a three-month average from April-June) ratings results for Fort Myers-Naples, FL. The move comes after it delisted a station from the report released on July 21. The ratings firm discovered that a household of a station staff member of Sun Broadcsting's Rhythmic CHR WFFY-FM (Fly 98.5) obtained and returned multiple diaries during the measurement period in May.
"Nielsen expressly prohibits participation in its ratings surveys by any household affiliated with a radio station," the company told clients in a Client Product Notification on Monday.
No ratings results were included for WFFY in the report re-issued on Tuesday, August 4. The station had shown a whopping 70% increase to 5.1 from 3.0 in the May listening report. AQH persons, cume persons and AQH rating for other stations will not be affected. However, Nielsen says rank and share may change.
