Cumulus to Launch Two Morning Shows on KMJK and KCHZ

Cumulus Media will launch two new morning shows in Kansas City in January, KMJK (Magic 107.3 FM) will debut its new morning show, "Rick and Sasha," syndicated by Westwood One, airing weekdays from 5-9am on January 7. The following Monday, January 14, the Kansas City cluster will debut "The Bert Show" on KCHZ (95.7 The Vibe) weekdays from 5-9am, which is also syndicated by Westwood One

Executive VP of Content & Programming Mike McVay for Cumulus Media and Westwood One said, "Rick and Sasha will be the next big stars for the Urban AC format. Stations need programming and talent that can win not just now, but for the next five and 10-year cycles. Rick and Sasha's on-air chemistry is so natural and memorable. They're the most exciting duo to hit Urban AC radio in a very long time."

Program Director Al Payne added, "This show is perfect for Magic 107.3 and for Kansas City. These radio pros deliver real radio for real people, connecting and engaging listeners in a special way unlike any other radio show. I'm so excited to be a part of this remarkable launch of the next big stars of Urban AC."

Of "The Bert Show," KCHZ PD Mike O'Reilly said, "Blending fun, today's hit music, and what's trending now is The Bert Show! Bert's approach to mornings is exactly the shot of adrenaline Kansas City morning radio needs, and the chemistry of the cast is such a natural fit for The Vibe's millennial DNA."

Cumulus Kansas City Regional VP/Market Manager Donna Baker added, "These two significant changes offer Kansas City Urban AC and CHR listeners the best morning radio on the air in their respective formats. I am so proud of our programming team's collaboration and winning plan to deliver what the audiences of Magic 107.3 and 95.7 The Vibe are asking for."
