Lauren Lapka Joins WGN Radio for Afternoon Traffic

WGN Radio announced that Lauren Lapka will join the station as the afternoon drive traffic reporter starting Thursday, March 14. Lapka will be heard on The John Williams Show starting at 1pm and The Roe Conn Show with Anna Davlantes from 3pm - 7pm.
In addition to reporting live traffic on WGN Radio, Lapka will host the Weekend Warnings video series on wgnradio.com and cover transportation stories for WGN Radio News.
"Having Lauren back in the WGN Radio family is a huge win for afternoon drive," said WGN Radio Station Manager & Vice President of Content Todd Manley. "Her playful intelligence is the perfect complement to Roe & Anna and John Williams."
Born and raised in Orland Park, Lapka returns to Tribune Media where she was previously an on-air personality for the company's sports/talk station The Game 87.7 FM. In 2015, Lapka transitioned to TV as a news reporter and anchor for KODE and KSNF in Joplin, Missouri. Most recently, Lapka was the morning anchor for KVAL in Eugene, Oregon. She holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from Purdue University.
