98.9 The Bull/Seattle Morning Man Tim Leary to Exit
RADIO ONLINE | Friday, April 19, 2019 |
KNUC-FM (New Country 98.9 The Bull) Seattle morning host Tim Leary has declined a request to move to afternoons and will exit after only ten months. Earlier this week the Hubbard Radio Country outlet announced that market veteran Fitz would join for mornings. Previously, Leary worked for iHeartMedia's Country WGAR-FM/Cleveland. Prior to joining WGAR, he spent almost three years at WCTK-FM/Providence, and before that he was with KUUB-FM/Reno.
In a post on Facebook, Leary wrote it was, "a difficult choice," adding, "I have decided to pass on the offer in pursuit of other opportunities. I wanted to stop here and say from the bottom of my heart thank you to every single one of you. From the moment I stepped foot in Seattle, you have made me, Karen and the kids feel so welcome and so at home. I can't tell you how much it means to us personally. Thank you also for listening every morning, and supporting every single thing we did."
