Report: FBN in 'Advanced Negotiations' with Imus

Fox Business Network is in advanced negotiations to simulcast "Imus in the Morning," reports the New York Times. Imus currently airs on RFD-TV, rural cable TV network. A deal with the 2-year-old Fox Business News could help the struggling channel, even though Imus was tarnished with his now infamous comments about the Rutgers University women's basketball team in April, 2007.

FBN currently airs the three-hour live program "Money In The Morning" featuring Jenna Lee and Connell McShane in the early morning time slot and Alexis Glick hosts FBN's "Money for Breakfast." A deal with Don Imus may displace both.

A Fox spokeswoman declined to comment about the negotiations, saying only that "we talk to engaging and interesting talent all the time."
