United Stations Radio Networks (USRN) is introducing a new four-hour Country music-intensive program titled "The Country's HotList with Shawn Parr." The first broadcast will air this weekend, October 9-11. The show is the creation of producer/host Shawn Parr and his Eleven 11 Productions group in Los Angeles.
The program is designed to respond quickly to today's fast-breaking world of music, entertainment news, celebrity gossip and life on the Internet. It will regularly recap lists of what's hot in movies, on iTunes, on YouTube and in all corners of entertainment. Plus, Country Hotlist will also utilize interactive technology to involve the audience in both the programming and the promotional and contesting components of the show.
USRN's Andy Denemark commented that "We've been working with Shawn Parr for a while to develop something very 21st Century for Country stations, and his team really nailed it with The Country's HotList. The overall sound of this show is perfectly in sync with what today's listeners want and expect, and we believe that the sky's the limit for this new show."
Shawn Parr added, "I couldn't be more excited about where we're going with this new program, and of course, I've been involved with the Dick Clark family of media properties for a long time, and to be in partnership with United Stations continues that tradition."
Parr has been the voice of Dick Clark Productions for the past 17 years. His voiceover for television and radio includes announcing for The American Music Awards, Golden Globes, Academy of Country Music Awards, and just this year, Shawn was the voice for the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon replacing the late Ed McMahon. Formerly at KZLA-FM/Los Angeles, Parr now anchors morning drive at KKGO-FM (Go Country 105)/Los Angeles.
