iHM/Fresno Debuts ''Guillermo Moreno Show''
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, December 27, 2016 |
iHeartMedia Fresno announces the debut of "The Guillermo Moreno Show," a live and local talk program to air on KALZ (PowerTalk 96.7 and AM 1400). The new program will begin Tuesday, January 3 and air weekdays from 6-8pm. Hosted by Guillermo Moreno, the show will take a conservative approach to local and national issues from the perspective of a Latino millennial.
"I'm excited to continue breaking the political and radio establishment mold and thrilled to be among the first young Latino millennial hosts in the Central Valley," said Moreno. "Fresno is the greatest city in America and I'm honored to continue my passion for politics with my generation here at home."
Moreno was born and raised in the Central Valley and graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School and Andrews University, where he helped created a campus television station and hosted his own political talk show. He also graduated from Michigan State Law School, and returned to Fresno to serve low-income seniors at the Senior Citizens Village.
"In the last election cycle we saw far more young people get involved in the political process - Guillermo speaks directly to, and for, these newly politicized millennials," said iHeartMedia Central California Region Senior VP/Programming Steve Weed. "His addition to our PowerTalk team greatly expands our laser focus on local issues for the local listener with a gravity and credibility that stands out from the 'happy talk' elsewhere on the dial."
