Darrel Eason Appointed Praise 95.1/St. Louis PD

Salem Media Group/St. Louis appoints 31-year industry vet Darrel Eason as Program Director for new contemporary Urban Gospel K236CS-FM (Praise 95.1). In addition to programming the station, he'll host a morning show called, "The Morning Praise" from 6-10am. Eason previously programmed crosstown Gospel KATZ-AM (Hallelujah 1600) and KMJM-FM (Majic 104.9)/St. Louis. Eason has also been a staple on the airwaves in St. Louis since November, 1989.
"Darrel's success in R&B and Urban Gospel radio is unquestioned in St. Louis," said VP/GM Greg Lhamon. "He has passion for this city and a strong desire to build a powerful urban gospel station for the African-American community. He's the right guy for this job."

Praise 95.1 is the first FM radio station to play contemporary Gospel music in St. Louis. The format features artists such as Travis Greene, Tamela Mann, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Marvin Sapp, and Tasha Cobbs.
