Entercom Flips CHR WBMP/New York to Alternative

Entercom returns Alternative Rock to the radio airwaves in New York for the first time since 2011, flipping CHR WBMP-FM (92.3 AMP) to "ALT 92.3 FM," with the slogan "New York's New Alternative." The station is celebrating the launch with 10,000 songs in a row, back-to-back, 100% commercial-free that started at 10am Friday morning. Listeners can tune in at 92.3 FM or at its new website at alt923radio.com.
"In a city where alternative music is a way of life, we are thrilled to finally fill the void in radio in New York City," said Entercom President of Programming Pat Paxton.
