Bubba The Love Sponge Back on FM in St. Petersburg

Genesis Communications has announced that News/Talk WWBA-AM (AM 820 News)/Tampa will now air simultaneously on the FM dial in Pinellas County on 98.3 FM. As a result, Bubba The Love Sponge is back on the FM dial in the Tampa radio market. In addition, the NFL Super Bowl will be broadcast on both AM 820 and FM 98.3 as well as Sports/Talk 1040 The Team, another Genesis-owned radio station.

"We are excited to expand our News/Talk listenership in St. Petersburg and Clearwater with 98.3 FM," said Genesis Communications President/CEO of Bruce Maduri. "Bubba is back on 98."

WWBA inked a deal to air the Bubba the Love Sponge last February with WWBA his new flagship station, returning the syndicated program back to the Tampa airwaves on 820's 50kW signal covering the state from Tallahassee through southern Florida. The show airs live during its traditional morning drive time slot between 6-10am. Bubba was dropped by crosstown Beasley Media the previous December following his involvement in a ratings tampering case with Nielsen.
