Entercom appoints Mike Kaplan as Senior VP/Programming and Program Director of Alternative WBMP-FM (ALT 92.3)/New York, effective immediately. He joins the company from iHeartMedia, where he was Program Director for KYSR-FM (ALT 98.7)/Los Angeles. Prior to programming in L.A., Kaplan served as Program Director for Entercom's Alternative KNDD-FM (107.7 The End)/Seattle and KRBZ-FM (96.5 The Buzz)/Kansas City.

Concurrently, Christine Malovetz joins ALT 92.3 as midday host and will be on-air from 10am-3pm weekdays, starting Monday. Malovetz was most recently midday host and Assistant Program Director for KNOU-FM/St. Louis. Prior to KNOU-FM, she was at Q101/Chicago, Y100/Philadelphia, and 99.9 The Buzz/Burlington, VT, where she was known as "Electra."

"As we continue to engage with the passionate alternative music community in the city, we look forward to building out a top-notch team."

"I'm coming home - both personally and professionally," said Kaplan. "I'm so happy to be working again with David Field, Pat Paxton, Weezie Kramer, and Susan Larkin as their leadership and scale in the Alternative world has jumped Entercom to the top."

"I'm thrilled and honored to be part of the talented team bringing alternative music back to the New York airwaves," said Malovetz. "It is a dream come true to return to the east coast and to the format I grew up loving."
