RADIO ONLINE | Monday, May 21, 2018 |
Texas A&M Athletics and multimedia rights holder, Learfield's Texas A&M Ventures, have announced changes to its radio affiliations in Dallas. Beginning this fall, listeners will be able to catch Aggie game action and related programming on KXEZ-FM (92.1) for the first time. Additionally, the relationship with KKGM-AM (1630) will be extended, and include football coverage in the new term. The multi-year station agreements are with Mortenson Broadcasting, which owns KKGM, and Metro Broadcasters/Texas, which owns KXEZ.
"We are very excited about this partnership and the ability to provide a consistent, reliable broadcast presence in the North Texas market," said Texas A&M Senior Associate Director of Athletics for External Affairs Douglas Walker. "Continuing our relationship with KKGM and adding KXEZ provides us with the best of both worlds in the radio marketplace in the Metroplex."
"We've always enjoyed being the home for Texas A&M basketball in DFW, and we are delighted to continue growing our relationship with Learfield and the university over the next three years and certainly look forward to adding Aggie football to KKGM," added Mortenson Broadcasting Owner Jack Mortenson.
Metro Broadcasters/Texas General Manager Joshua Jones said, "KXEZ is thrilled to become a broadcast affiliate for the Texas A&M Aggies. We couldn't be more proud to associate ourselves with such a storied football tradition, and we're also in awe of their incredible success in basketball."
