RADIO ONLINE | Friday, June 15, 2018 |
WUSF Public Media adds Jessica Meszaros to the WUSF-FM/Tampa newsroom and the "Morning Edition" news team. She'll serve as a WUSF reporter and will be one of the hosts of "Morning Edition." She comes to Tampa with six years of broadcasting experience in media markets across Florida, including Miami and Fort Myers. Previously, she served as a freelance multimedia reporter for Miami's public radio station WLRN for more than two years.
"Morning Edition starts the day and gives so many people their first news of the day, and we take that responsibility very seriously," said Meszaros. "I'm looking forward to exploring the Tampa Bay area and reporting on stories that keep local listeners intrigued, inspired and informed."
Meszaros received four 2018 Florida Associated Press Broadcasters (FAPB) awards and was recently granted the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) N.S. Bienstock Fellowship, which supports new minority professional broadcast journalists. Meszaros graduated from Florida International University where she received her bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Honors College.
