Kristina Hammerschmidt Named KYW Philadelphia News Director

Kristina Hammerschmidt is appointed News Director of Entercom's KYW-AM (KYW Newsradio) Philadelphia, effective November 19. A Philadelphia native, Hammerschmidt joined Entercom in 2017 as an editor and writer for KYW. She previously served as a producer and writer for KYW-TV in Philadelphia, WFMZ-TV in Allentown PA and WBOC-TV in Salisbury, MD. Hammerschmidt holds a B.A. in Journalism from Temple University.

"Kristina is a talented and dynamic leader with expertise that will take the KYW Newsradio team to the next level," said Entercom Philadelphia Senior VP/Market Manager David Yadgaroff. "Her strong track record producing live newscasts will help us deliver on our mission of telling compelling stories and setting the agenda for news coverage in the Delaware Valley."
