30-year veteran programmer Lance Tidwell is appointed Director of FM Programming for Cumulus Media Detroit, including Country WDRQ (NASH FM 93.1) and Hot AC WDVD (96.3 WDVD). He replaces Robbie Bridges, who is moving back east after a successful five-year run in Detroit. Tidwell previously served as Operations Manager for Cumulus Kansas City. Most recently, he was Operations Manager for Townsquare Media's four-station cluster in Fort Collins, CO. He's also served as Senior VP/Programming for iHeartMedia in Tucson, AZ and San Antonio.
Cumulus Detroit VP/Market Manager Greg Smith said, "Lance is a tremendous addition to our management team at Cumulus Detroit. Lance is a highly regarded programmer, on-air talent, and leader. I am looking forward to working with him to grow both ratings and revenue for 96.3 WDVD and WDRQ NASH FM 93.1."
Tidwell added, "Very excited to work with my mentor and friend Mike Wheeler again! I want to thank Mike, Greg Smith and Mike McVay for this opportunity in Detroit."
