Sam Alex Exits ''Taste of Country Nights'' as Show Host
RADIO ONLINE | Thursday, May 9, 2019 |
Syndicated "Taste of Country Nights" host Sam Alex announced at beginning of the show on Wednesday that it would be his last broadcast as host. He'll be replaced by Evan Paul. In a post on Twitter and Instagram, Alex wrote, "Thank you for being such a loyal listener the past 5+ years. Tonight is my last night hosting 'Taste of Country Nights' from our Nashville studio. We've grown to over 100 affiliates and were nominated for the ACM National Air Personality of the Year. I'll still be doing interviews and covering red carpets for 'Celebrity Page TV' but tomorrow I'm officially a radio free agent."
Before hosting the syndicated program, Alex was morning show producer and weekend personality at Country WMZQ-FM/Washington, DC. He joined WMZQ from mornings at WBWB-FM/Bloomington, IN, as well as Assistant PD duties. He's also spent time at WYST-FM and WIHN-FM/Normal, IL.
Alex told RADIO ONLINE, "Thank you to Kurt Johnson and everyone at Townsquare Media for 5 incredible years. I'm also eternally grateful for the loyal sponsors and over 30 individual station owners who chose to carry the show."
