First & Only Female NBA Scout Launches ''The Weekly Pass''

Westwood One and Bonnie-Jill Laflin, the NBA's first and only female scout, have announced a new podcast called "The Weekly Pass." Upcoming episodes of the original weekly sports podcast feature interviews with sports superstars Lenny Wilkens, Roger Clemons, Shaquille O'Neil, Jerry Rice and Curt Schilling. Each Wednesday Laflin and co-host Adam Copeland, one of the Top 30 Sportscasters Under 30, share interviews with athletes and celebrities discussing sports news and action with an insider's perspective.

Laflin said, "I'm excited to join the Westwood One team and have this platform where my career in sports and entertainment intersects with athletes and celebrities, many of whom I'm fortunate enough to call friends."

In addition to her role with the NBA, Laflin was the first to cheer on a professional level for three teams in two sports, and is the first female to be awarded six championship rings. Laflin can be heard as a sports reporter on national platforms internationally.

"There is no doubt that Bonnie-Jill is an empowering pioneer for women in sports," said Suzanne Grimes, EVP, Marketing for Cumulus Media and President, Westwood One. "Her access, credibility, authentic relationships with her guests, and chemistry with Adam make The Weekly Pass a winner."

Both Laflin and Copeland can also be heard weekdays on Sports KNBR/San Francisco.
