Rush Limbaugh Donates $2 Million to 9/11 Organization
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, July 23, 2019 |
Syndicated talk host Rush Limbaugh has donated $2 million from the sales of his official Betsy Ross t-shirt to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the amount is still rising. The Foundation, named after a New York City Firefighter who lost his life on 9/11, announced that, with this gift, it has paid off the mortgages on the family homes of six slain American heroes affecting six widows and 23 children.
"Thanks to the generosity of Rush and Kathryn, and the listeners of The Rush Limbaugh Show, six families who have lost their husbands and fathers, killed while they were protecting us at home and abroad, can rest a little easier knowing they own their homes free and clear," said Tunnel to Towers CEO and Chairman Frank Siller.
"It's the greatest thing. It's one of the most uplifting things that I have been involved in because this is the American people... generating enough revenue to be able to send $2 million to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation," said Limbaugh. There is still more work to be done. Our first responders and our men and women in uniform continue to put their lives at risk every single day."
By donating just $11 per month, you can make sure the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is able to help the next family who suffers the sudden and tragic death of a loved one in the line of duty. Go to Tunnel2Towers.org.
