Veteran programmer Al Payne exits KMJK-FM (Magic 107.3)/Kansas City. He joined the Cumulus Media Urban AC from Beasley Broadcasting in April, 2018, WMGC-FM (105.1 The Bounce)/Detroit where he served as Program Director. Payne's 20-year career as a Hip Hop, Urban AC and Rhythmic programmer includes posts at WERQ and WWIN-FM/Baltimore, WKYS/Washington DC, WGZB and WMJM/Louisville, WDMK and WHTD/Detroit, WCDX and WKJS/Richmond VA, KRNB/Dallas, WQMG/Greensboro and WMNX/Wilmington NC.

Payne said, "Safe to say that I've stepped down from the PD post at KMJK to return back East. I want to thank Midwest Regional VP/Market Manager Donna Baker, VP/Operations Doug Hamand and the incredible Cumulus Kansas City team that have helped me set up Magic 107.3 for greatness. I anticipate happy times ahead for them."
