Salem Media Group has announced that the "American Gospel Radio Show" is coming to the Singing News Radio Network. The show is hosted by Gerald Wolfe and Joseph Habedank, and airs Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Additionally, long-time Southern Gospel air personality, Rodney Baucom (pictured), joins the network as its new midday host for the Singing News Radio Network and also as host of the "Top 20 Weekly Countdown."

Wolfe, the leader of the popular trio Greater Vision (and former pianist for the Cathedral Quartet), was recently elected to the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Habedank, lead singer for The Perrys before launching a solo career, is a Grammy-nominated and Dove-Award winning singer/songwriter and a two-time Favorite Soloist of The Year in the Singing News Fan Awards. The show features top Southern Gospel performances from the annual National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Baucom, a 30-year radio veteran and well-known southern gospel air personality, is named the new midday host, weekdays from 10am-3pm and can also be heard as host of the Singing News Radio Network's Weekly Top 20 Countdown show. "We are excited to have Rodney on board hosting mid-days on the network," said Singing News Radio Network General Manager Kevin Anderson. "His years of experience in Southern Gospel Radio bring value to the Singing News brand."

Baucom added, "When I first started in radio over 30 years ago, I was a teenager hosting a Top 20 countdown program on our local AM station on the weekend. I'm so honored to be a part of the popular mid-day programming and looking forward to a fun and informative national program that highlights the top songs in Southern Gospel Music."

One of the unique aspects of "The Singing News Top 20 Weekly Countdown" is that while the Top 10 Weekly Chart is available to Singing News Magazine subscribers online, songs 11 through 20 of this radio countdown will not be published anywhere, and will only be available by listening to The Singing News Top 20 Weekly Countdown With Rodney Baucom.
