Cumulus has launched Magic 97.9/KQFC-FM bringing an exciting new Adult Contemporary radio station to Boise, ID, radio listeners. Magic 97.9 is a community-focused radio station playing a wide variety of music for adults from the past five decades.

Programming the station is newly named Program Director, Lisa Adams who will also handle mornings. This marks a return to Boise for Adams, a veteran radio programming professional with more than 25 years' experience, who was previously Operations Manager/Program Director for Townsquare Media's Boise radio stations. She was most recently Program Director for Hubbard Radio's KNUC-FM in Seattle, WA, having programming other Seattle stations including KLCK-FM, KQMV-FM and KYPT-FM. Adams was also Program Director for KXJM-FM in Portland, OR.

The weekday programming lineup for Magic 97.9 features: Lisa Adams in Mornings, Bret Connors in Afternoons and Mike Kasper with News in the morning, with more announcements to follow.

"We are so fortunate to launch a new format with a veteran programmer like Lisa at the helm," said Don Morin, RVP/MM, Cumulus Boise. "Her experience and knowledge of the market and format puts us in the position to win right out of the gate!"

"I'm incredibly excited and blessed to start my new radio chapter back in a town I love and missed so much," said Adams. "It's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings. Thank you to John Dimick and Don Morin for their confidence in me to help lead a new brand into existence for Boise and the Treasure Valley. I can't wait to get to work! Let's make some radio magic!"
