WMGK Midday Personality Debbi Calton Officially Retires

Legendary WMGK-FM (Classic Rock 102.9) Philadelphia midday personality Debbi Calton put on her headphones for the very last time before officially retiring on Friday, December 6 from the Beasley outlet. She had been on the air at the station in the same daypart for 26 years -- spending over 40 years in radio. She began her radio career at the young age of 19 at a small, daytime AM station in Charlotte. Calton went on to spend 10 years at former Philly Rock WYSP-FM, before moving to WMGK-FM in 1993.
Her final show included farewell messages from listeners and special guests, including members of George Thorogood's band (the Destroyers), her husband (Chip) and son (Dustin), the Phillie Phanatic, former WMGK morning host Harvey, along with other lifelong friends and colleagues.
