After more than a decade with Emmis Communications, Charlie Morgan is exiting. Morgan served as Senior VP/Market Manager of Emmis/New York, now Emmis/Mediaco-owned, which includes WBLS, WLIB and WQHT (Hot 97). He had also overseen the company's cluster in Indianapolis, which includes WIBC, WFNI, WYXB, WLHK and Network Indiana.

Morgan was instrumental in the turnaround of Emmis in Indianapolis, which he joined in September, 2009 as Senior VP/Market Manager. He later moved to New York in January, 2016. Previously, he was VP/Market Manager for Cumulus' Indianapolis stations and before that, he led Susquehanna's WFMS-FM, WFTK-FM and WJJK-FM in Indianapolis.

In 2018, Country Radio Broadcasters made Morgan the recipient of the 2018 President's Award. He's also been recognized for his leadership in radio, honored on multiple occasions as one of the top managers in radio, most recently in 2016. Mogan's served the industry as President of the Board of the Country Radio Broadcasters and a Board Member of the Country Music Association, the New York Market Radio Group (NYMRAD) and the New York State Broadcast Association.

Morgan will continue his role as a Partner at The Rith Group, which provides strategy, marketing, media content and consulting services to multiple industries.

In a statement, Emmis said Morgan's "focus on product quality, operational excellence, innovation and perhaps most important on culture and talent development as the ultimate path to winning have been central to our success. Charlie's emphasis on building great teams through coaching and development has enhanced the careers of countless colleagues over the years. We sincerely thank him for all his efforts, and wish him the absolute best in his next endeavor."
