Advantage Music Research Debuts #RadioStrong During Pandemic

Advantage Music Research President Deena Hollander is sharing stories of the work radio stations are doing in the face of challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and encourages others to share by using the hashtag #RadioStrong. AMR has created a special page on its website dedicated to stories of the work radio stations are doing, including those owned by Emmis Communications, Bonneville International, Sierra H Broadcasting, Cumulus Media and New South Radio.

Hollander said, "Calls with clients and friends in the industry of late have increasingly been about the ways they're serving their listeners and communities. It is so inspiring to see how our industry steps up in times of crisis, which it always does time and time again. #RadioStrong says it all."

Submissions provided to date include Emmis/New York's "Half A Grand Helping Hand" promotion; "We Got This, Bay Area," Bonneville/San Francisco's free outlet for local businesses to advertise and "Feed the Frontline," a program encouraging listeners to donate to feed first responders initiated by WJKK/Jackson, MS.

Stories will also be shared on the company's Twitter feed using the hashtag #RadioStrong.

"I would love to see as many people as possible start to share these stories using #RadioStrong, whether it be on personal or company pages. The world needs to be reminded of the crucial and inspiring role radio is playing right now," added Hollander.

Deena Hollander invites all radio station personnel to email stories to her at deenahollander@advantagemusicresearch.com to be featured on the company's website.
