Beverlee Brannigan Exits SummitMedia as SVP/Programming
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, June 16, 2020 |
Beverlee Brannigan exits SummitMedia as Senior VP/Programming. Previously, she served as President/GM of the company's cluster in Wichita for nearly six years and is a veteran programmer. She's a member of the Country Radio Hall of Fame, has coached CMA Broadcast Personalities of the Year, and programmed KFDI-FM to a CMA Station of the Year Award. Brannigan joined Journal Broadcast Group in 2001, first as Program Director in Omaha, then as Operations Manager of the then Journal Wichita stations in 2012.
In a post on Facebook, Brannigan wrote, "Business. It happens. Here's what I don't want you to say about that: Radio sucks. I'll never listen to those stations again. That's dumb and mean. Business is hard, and my former colleagues and friends are putting their hearts into making their radio stations the best they can be. So please listen more. And advertise there, because it works... You know where to find me. See you soon."
