Westwood One, Imperative Podcast Division Launch Two Shows

Westwood One and Imperative Entertainment premiere the first English and Spanish language podcasts, "The Red Note" and "La Nota Roja," which is also set to be a documentary feature film. Both ten-episode podcast series are hosted by Lydia Cacho, called "perhaps Mexico's most famous investigative journalist and women's rights advocate" by Amnesty International and named an IPI World Press Freedom Hero for her work in defense of human rights across the globe.
"The Red Note" examines the story of the Juarez femicides through the voices of investigators who tried to solve the mystery of these crimes, and the families of the victims, whose lives have been reshaped by this tragedy. Both podcast series debut September 22nd on all major podcast platforms. Westwood One partners with Imperative Entertainment to distribute, market and monetize all their existing and forthcoming podcasts.
The podcast series is set to become a documentary feature film entitled "Flowers of the Desert: Stories from The Red Note" in 2021, directed by Estefania Bonilla Hernandez and produced by Imperative Entertainment and Blue Guitar.
