Scott Gaines to Manage SummitMedia's Knoxville Cluster

SummitMedia taps Scott Gaines to manage operations for the company's Knoxville cluster and serve as Program Director for WCYQ (100.3 The Wolf). Gaines radio career dates back 35 years. Most recently, he served as Operations Manager for Alpha Media's cluster of stations in Amarillo, TX. He was also the Program Director, Content Director and afternoon personality for Country KGNC-FM. Previously, Gaines had stints with Cumulus Media, Westwood One and iHeartMedia.

"I am so unbelievably honored to be chosen for the Summit leadership team in Knoxville," said Gaines. "The heritage of these stations runs deep in Knoxville. I'm excited to be a part of it."

"Summit Knoxville is excited to welcome a radio veteran of Scott's caliber to the Knoxville market," said SummitMedia Executive Vice President Randy Chase. "I'm looking forward to having his expertise and passion part of our team."

Gaines assumes his new leadership role on Monday. He manages Summit Knoxville stations that include WCYQ (100.3 The Wolf), WNOX (Awesome 93.1), WKHT (Awesome 93.1) and WWST (Star 102.1).
