Salem Radio Network (SRN) and the Salem News Channel (SNC) will simulcast the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate on next Tuesday evening, October 1 beginning at 9pm ET. The 90-minute debate between Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) and U.S. Senator JD Vance (R-OH) will be moderated by "CBS Evening News" anchor Norah O'Donnell and Margaret Brennan, host of "Face the Nation."

Immediately prior to the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate simulcast, SRN and SNC will air a 2-hour Salem Pre-Debate Special beginning at 7pm ET. Salem's Larry Elder will host the Pre-Debate Special and will be joined by SRN's Mike Gallagher, Dr. Sebastian Gorka and Dennis Prager along with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, who is host of the Salem Media Group news magazine "This Week On The Hill" with U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Salem Media Group Senior Vice President for Spoken Word Phil Boyce noted, "Who better to host our Pre-Debate coverage than Larry Elder who ran for Governor of California and then for President. He's been in that chair before so he knows what to say. Stations who sign up for coverage are in for a treat."

Salem News Channel Vice President & General Manager Cary Pahigian added, "While SRN provides audio debate coverage from CBS News, SNC is pleased to present our live video simulcast of the CBS News Vice Presidential debate. In addition, we will provide extensive pre and post debate analysis."
