Bloomberg Audio, in collaboration with Key Networks, has introduced "Bloomberg Business of Entertainment," a new radio segment designed to give listeners an insider's look at the entertainment industry's most compelling stories. The 60-second feature will air weekdays and be available to stations across major U.S. markets including New York and Los Angeles.
Hosted by Bloomberg's Lisa Mateo and Karen Moskow, the segment will delve into how people consume different media forms, from films to music, highlighting the shifting dynamics in the industry. It will explore various challenges faced by sectors like film, cable TV, streaming and social media.
Michael Lysak, Head of Bloomberg Radio Syndication, emphasized the segment's relevance, stating, "The entertainment business is at a critical juncture, filled with as much drama as a Hollywood blockbuster." Dennis Green, COO of Key Networks, also remarked on the initiative's value, noting that the segment would spotlight significant stories from the entertainment sector and enhance content offerings for affiliate stations.
The launch of "Bloomberg Business of Entertainment" expands Bloomberg Audio's diverse portfolio of specialized news features, including the Bloomberg Business of Sports Report, Bloomberg Black Business Beat, and Bloomberg Real Estate Report, catering to a broad range of interests and listener demographics.
