Absolute Communications II LLC has closed on its purchase of AC KITN-FM (93.5), AC KWOA-FM (95.1) and News/Talk KWOA-AM (730) in Worthington, MN, from Three Eagles Communications for $2.2 million.
"I've been talking to John Daniels about this for many years and he was in position to make the combination work at this time," said Three Eagles' Rolland Johnson when the deal was struck. "Like many markets, this is one that can be better served by having a common owner. We believe the service to the community should only be improved with this combination of stations."
"We are very enthused for this combination of resources, said Absolute Communications' John Daniels. "Our US104 experience in the greater Worthington/Sibley area has been most enjoyable during our three years here, and we expect even greater community involvement going forward following FCC approval of this expansion."
Jerry Johnson with Media Services Group brokered the transaction for Three Eagles Communications.
